Nooo! collective groan..

Hillary Clinton as secretary of State..sorry, but there goes peace in the Middle East. The Clintons are too pro-Israel to balance anything out..I don't even wanna know what 'concession' dear Bill was willing to make..
ugh..
So Mash (docstrangelove)..you lost that prediction! (he predicted Bill Richardson) Click and find out which predictions he's made and which ones came true..
sigh..(I know I know..the line will be "can't please everybody" well, this was a concession on the part of the Obama transition team and not a sound one at that, this will not be 'change'..)

Hi Ingrid
Don't worry I am not convinced she will take it yet! I am thinking not because if she takes it that is it. If she stay NY Senator she will be there for life and end up being senior Senator. They are creating senior positions trying to entice her to stay so we will see!

I'm on the fence about Hillary, but I trust Obama to know who he can work with. The best thing about an appointed position is that if things aren't working, he can dump her.

I am with you on this one Ingrid, the Clintons come as a power packed package and there have been two many divisions in the past with Obama.

Personally I think he is much better to make fresh start.

A Diplomat can spot any power plays by a Foreign Secretary not quite in tune with a President from 1000 mils off.

Best wishes

But not quite true, Ingrid. Hillary caused a great deal of furour when she announced years ago -- Bill was president -- that there was a need to create a state of Palestine.

It is on record that she's alway batted heavily for human rights and broke protocol fighting for human rights.
