Musical Interlude; A re-post
Update; I was looking for another cd to put in the car before picking the kids up from school. Then I saw the Blues Brothers' cd. Then I listened to it and heard 'Peter Gunn', which in turn reminded me of this excellent Max Sedgley mix (dj from Britain) who's Sarah Vaughan singing Peter Gunn-version I heard only once on one of the local radio stations. I honestly think he should put it out as a single. How can you convince someone or a record company to that?? Petitions anyone? Just wondering. Anyhow...listen to the song, I'm in rush and in no mood to edit the post I did in March. Check it out and good day, eh!
Never ever watched the Apprentice until a month or so ago. I did end up smack in the middle of the show but soon got hooked. On the nbc message board it was soon divided between Trace (Adkins) fans and the 'Piers Posse' (amongst yours truly). Some Trace fans got pretty nasty but some of the other Trace fans and the Piers Posse actually got along just fine. The two charities that ended up receiving money through the fundraising contest was Piers' Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, and Trace Adkins' The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network.
I'll say both charities won, although I do think that Piers Morgan was the best competitor and ultimately the most suited to be 'the Apprentice'. He outwit, outplayed, and outlast oops...wrong show! Still, he was the smartest and most hard working contestant at that. So, here's to Piers Morgan and the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund who made out like bandits (over $250,000 total throughout the game)..and here is to 'my posse'...click and listen to the music. Celebrate and be happy!

and the pollen is high here, which only makes my food allergies worse,so perhaps some of that money could be sent to Austin, hmmmmmm? What a day!!!
Drive on! Listening to that makes me want to put it on and go for a drive myself. Excellent!
Excuse my naivety but is there any such thing as a single these days? Hope your allergies are okay your attitude is great!
Maria, I heard that those annual 'burns' or smoke from Mexico has been coming our way (so I've been told by Rebecca's teacher who's been effected), my mold is just same old same old.
Jim, alas, no more singles except you can get one as a 'cd'.. you know, a single song! [g]
I'm a bit out of touch myself (but not McCain-out-of-touch) as I do not have iphones or 'pods' and do not download music from the computer..
I heard this song (Sarah Vaughan's Peter Gunn remix) on our local KJSR station which is quite well known to a lot of musicians/bands as they play music you do not normally here on the very 'poppy' stations.. this song is pretty good and the sound here does not do it justice. When you hear it, full blown on the radio (with of course the radio turned up), it sounds awesome. I sure could drive to that as well!

You card are you telling me I'm out of touch? You mean I have to come out from under this rock? I wish more were out of touch like me. We wouldn't be in this position. The only music I hear today is from you guys!
what, you out of touch? As long as you don't quote me Abba although that said, with that latest 'mamma mia film' you could almost claim full circle and say you never were out of touch..
anyhow..I don't listen to that station I mentioned very often as I don't have the patience to listen to 'new' songs; if a song does not grab me from the get go..I can't be bothered..
so hey, if you need to stay up on culture and the only music you hear is online through your blogger friends, I better get with the program and find some other things.. naturally, I've been known to throw in some 'older' music too.
oops, gotta check dinner, adios!
