After our Capitol tour through a TX senator's office, we stopped by but..Obama wasn't there. I was so tired by this time (the end of the week)I was kinda glad he wasn't. I just wanted to sleep at that point and be beamed back to my hotel bed.
Of all things the kids will remember the metro the most..

At the Museum of Natural History.. a great place for kids. Somehow, inspite of our comments to the contrary, my youngest is convinced we descend from Dinosaurs..

OMG, do NOT take your kids to that Creation Museum in KY. If they have any thoughts that we descended from dinosaurs, they would absolutely FREAK to see displays of cavemen riding dino's like big horsies.
Dk..don't I know it..I think they passed it the week we were there. We got the tour through a TX senator so we were allowed to sit up on the balcony (brain freeze, whatever they call that place up and around) and watch the procedures for as long as we wanted..HAHA..creation museum..now talk about pretensious..it's kinda sad that the creationists are seeking all these ways to feel legitimate and 'scientific'..
miss 'thing' believes what she believes so if I agree with her she might change her mind!!
