Rogel, Jonathan's friend that I mentioned in my previous post had this to say on his site;

I just signed a "power of attorney" document authorizing Anne to act for both of us –now it is only a matter of phone call, although I might decide to go back without it. It is obvious where should I be these days, any thing else is just excuse.
