Fun!
Kind of regret that I never got to see SNZs live.
I love these guys and saw them once years and years ago. Here's one of my favs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJzWGkgFcTU
Get ready to move!
Weren't they the featured band in the movie "Swingers"??? I think that was the first time I'd heard of them and of course, you can't forget a name like Squirrel Nut Zippers!
How's your little ones sinuses doing? Hope they cleared up in time for trickortreating.
Mary..fun is the operative word. This song doesn't sound as good as when I heard it on the radio whilst driving (whilst cranked up!!) but the 'spirit' of the zaniness is still there. This is such an 'early video' in terms of style..I'd love to film it over again..
Kommander Kvatch!! I'm honoured to have you grace these pages...I'll have you know that the 'troops' are ready for tomorrow and ready for their compadres to come home. Even though with a 'regime' change, it still will not happen fast enough but one can only do so much right?
Gary..I'll have to check that song out later.. how fun you got to watch them. I think that there are singers and bands out there who are 'better' to be sampled 'live' than by recording and I have a feeling these guys were like that as well.
DK..I cannot say I saw that movie ('swinging in the rain' perhaps? hehe)And what a good brain you have to remember my 10yr old's bout with sinus infection..today we're actually going back to the doctor as he's not showing any progress and in fact, had another coughing bout fits this past weekend and last night..of course, always at night. So on top of all his allergy meds (decongestant/antihistamine) and antibiotic, I gave him Tussin CF last night to help counter the cough at least so he could sleep..I just took some meds to help me sleep because those worrisome sleepless night I remember all too well!
He did go trick or treating as he seemed to get better but alas..'we' need something else to get him back on track. And considering his asthma, he needs his annual flu shot but I have to wait till he gets better..
take care all..I'm avoiding tv altogether if I can help it (those negative smear campaign ads drive me batty) and someone please bring me some good news come Wednesday morning..
hugs to all,
Ingrid
