Where am I?
...you ask. Well, not at home! We were supposed to have our flooring changed up and downstairs. The downstairs job in the first week went great. We had tile put in and the crew did a professional job. The second week was opposite week (and that was last week). We had tile laminate ordered and the guys who were supposed to install it did not seem to know much to begin with. Not only that, for the three days they were scheduled to come, on the second day, their company (sub contracted by Home Depot, the whole installation was) made them work somewhere else because 'we had an extra day'. Extra day or not, they did not finish on the 'extra allotted day'. Nor did they the day after. In fact, on the friday, they did not show up until noon when the carpet crew was installing the new carpet on the stair case.
It is now the Wednesday after and today, the one person that was supposed to finish the job did not show up this morning. So..at ten, I decided I needed an oil change for the car and some other errands and after my return around 11:30, there was no tell tale sign. No calls, no communication.
So..I decide that I have things to do at the condo where we're staying (which, as it turns out has something in it that is making my allergic son sneeze and get congested). So on my way home, I decide to get a chicken shawarma. As I am partly into eating it, I bite on something hard. At first, it looked like a rusty screw. A screw! (I'm going to turn into one, can you see it coming??) Then, after a bit longer inspection, I see it's a piece of a wooden skewer. Not that that is any better, but at least I can place it. The restaurant/middle easter import store (very popular, never had any problems like this before) also sells kabobs. A screw you cannot figure that out. A piece of wooden skewer..O-KAY..that was from a chicken kebab-turned-shawarma. SIGH!
I'm madder than hell. I'm steaming inside. "They're gonna take me away haha hehe to the funny farm.." (you know the song?!)
SIGH.. Well, I need to do some breathing. Good thing happened yesterday; I got my books in. The PTSD book Winning the War within (see below post)AND..something I need to delph into today, the latest Wayne Dyer book Change your thoughts, change your life. He lived the Tao for one year and this describes the tao and his experiences.
Another SIGH.
I'm still hungry. The chicken shawarma looks pretty good..hmmm..if I just chew really well, or perhaps open it up and roll it back up..
I'm tired, I'm on edge. We want to go home. Sleep in our own bed. Be in our own house.
Oooooommmmmm.
