Ruth, when I grew up in Holland, I saw all those American films and thought, wow, cool.. the idea of power that came with a gun. Then, after I emigrated to Canada in the early 80s, I tried an indoors, very safe shooting range with just a 22..boy, that noise scared the bejeebies out of me! It did not feel so cool after all.. I think my dh thougt it would be fun to shoot at cans on a friends' property but between you and me..I think it was an impulse buy. He has a gun properly locked up and everything and if anything were to happen (home invastion) it would be pretty useless 'cause it's hard to get to and has to get unlocked. The kids do not even know we have it and there's no way in you know where they could find it..I always say, why not get rid of it? but it's something he's had since before we were married so.. we're not sure if we'll return it or not..the moment I got it I had a post title in mind so we had to keep it at least for THAT long! [g]
looks like you had a very good Christmas...Santa was good for you...to you ? your kids are so cute...heartbreaking....nerf anything is so coool....except my dog and cat both eat anything nerf.....
The NERF of Dick Cheney to bring WPC (weaponry presents for christmas). Hah! I used to play with slingslots as a kid & those could be lethal, too. Also had a little cap gun, but that is noise only, no projectiles. It never made me want to fire off a real gun. Real guns are too darn LOUD. Just ask my hub, who was Artillery in Vietnam & deaf in one ear as a result.(hmmmm, maybe I need a silencer, like the Sopranos? nooooo....)
Oh dear. I am SO not a gun person. My brother in law gave my husband a knife, and I'm even uncomfortable with that.
