If people end up having other people shop and get groceries, there's no connection to 'regular' people at all..
Maria, I just emailed you back...ha..you're worthy for a whole separate post!!

hugs

IngridIngridhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15543677729320023767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22346965.post-84948669668616990642008-08-16T18:43:00.000-05:002008-08-16T18:43:00.000-05:00In a video game you know everything is being run b...In a video game you know everything is being run by the computer. Reality doesn't offer this assurance, so it's very easy to develop the mistaken impression that you're in control.

The people who run our country spend far too much time gaming outcomes and not nearly enough time with real people.susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16747450215034568033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22346965.post-77923643983511768672008-08-16T16:56:00.000-05:002008-08-16T16:56:00.000-05:00Ingrid, please check your email! This is very inter...Ingrid, please check your email!
This is very interesting.Mariamariacuchitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16795651584150694329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22346965.post-43408768164950392592008-08-16T15:40:00.000-05:002008-08-16T15:40:00.000-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Mariamariacuchitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16795651584150694329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22346965.post-64549739038548986732008-08-16T15:12:00.000-05:002008-08-16T15:12:00.000-05:00maria There is no turning back now for any of us...maria
There is no turning back now for any of us! Things move in only one direction, forward.
We had an event here 2 days ago that I can now ask. Here in the Quincy shipyard they were dismantling a 370 foot tall crane that will be sent to Romania when it collapsed.
Aside for feelings for the guy who was killed my thought was what are they sending that to Romania for? Our hands are in everything!jmsjoinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17631105639275375922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22346965.post-23616007468715772162008-08-16T14:43:00.000-05:002008-08-16T14:43:00.000-05:00I was in Eastern Europe a few years ago, visiting ...I was in Eastern Europe a few years ago, visiting Prague and Budapest.

I talked to a lot of the average working people, from cab rivers to tour guides, people who grew up there.

This western influence and expansion is a balancing act. How much, how far? So many of the citizens were really glad to see the end of Communism, because it meant more freedom, but with western influences, there were other problems; youth gangs, graffitti on every corner, more crime, rising rents that were pushing those on a fixed income to the very outskirts of Prague.

Some wished for a return of a cheaper, simpler economy. Some wished for a return of morality among the young. Who gets included and who gets excluded, because there are also financial/security benefits to becoming a member of NATO? Good to ponder.Mariamariacuchitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16795651584150694329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22346965.post-5692240522638776822008-08-16T13:34:00.000-05:002008-08-16T13:34:00.000-05:00Ingrid To me the cold war never ended. Because of Bush's instigation it has gone a little further underground and is of late reemerging a little colder.
Bushco's hypocrisy really hurts to listen too as you know the rest of the world sees it to and the underhanded bastards could care less as long as they get their war mongering way.
With Poland signing on to the war instigating MDS and Russia threatening the Ukraine, and it looks like choking off Georgia they are pissed and the cold war had been replaced with Bush's Forever War and damn the planet.
How will this turn out? Who will be left? What about a life sustaining planet. Bush is willing to destroy the planet and life itself for what?jmsjoinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17631105639275375922noreply@blogger.com
